About This Site

A person released from Greenbrier County custody may no longer appear in a live jail search. The useful record may instead sit with WVDCR, a Greenbrier court, a supervision office, or another custodian. This privately operated reference site brings those distinct release paths into one organized source.

Why This Resource Exists

West Virginia makes many custody and court records open to the public, but no single Greenbrier County system follows every person after release. The Greenbrier County Sheriff creates arrest and transport records. WVDCR operates Southern Regional Jail and the statewide jail and prison searches. County courts hold bond, sentence, release, and probation orders. Parole and probation offices supervise different groups after custody, while federal releases appear through the Bureau of Prisons system.

Greenbrier County Released Inmates organizes those release records, offender searches, supervision checks, facility details, and written-request steps. It also explains why a person who leaves Southern Regional Jail may have entered the community, moved to state prison, or transferred to another authority.

Records Covered Here

The material is arranged by the record or agency that can answer a specific custody question:

  • The home page provides the full named-person search and release-record request path, with added detail on Release Date Lookup, VINE Inmate Check, and Post-Release Supervision.
  • Separate facility pages identify Southern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility and Anthony Correctional Center, including their addresses, phones, roles, and release routes.
  • Lookup instructions distinguish the WVDCR regional-jail search from the state prison offender search.
  • Records-request material explains how to seek a booking or release entry, a releasable photograph, or a court order under West Virginia law.

Limits of This Site

This is a private reference site. It is not connected with Greenbrier County, any West Virginia sheriff, Southern Regional Jail, WVDCR, a court, or another government agency.

  • We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
  • We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for someone.
  • We do not provide legal advice.
  • We cannot promise that every published phone, fee, address, or office detail remains current.

Only the responsible sheriff, corrections agency, court, or other custodian can officially confirm custody, charges, or release. This site does not host or certify those records.

Search Partner Disclosure

Some pages contain search tools supplied by independent providers. Those providers control their results, prices, signup terms, and data practices. If a visitor chooses a paid product after following a partner tool, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the reference pages available without charge, but it does not give this site control over a partner's service or output.
